  1. Hello Grace. Very good list. Re item 27 (egg-pie) are you referring to Tea House in Baguio? If yes, mind if ask for the exact location/direction. I've been wanting to visit and sample their menu specially the famous egg-pie and bihon. Thank you and all the best.

  2. Hi Aldo. Sorry for the delayed reply. Yes, I was referring to Tea House in Baguio. It's along lower to mid-Session Road in the heart of Baguio City. If you're facing the Maharlika Livelihood Center / City Market, it will be on the right side of the road. Anyway, it's a city landmark (sort of). People where it is, so you can always ask for directions. They also put up a branch at SM Baguio, I just can't remember what floor. From experience though, if you're buying whole pies, you're better off going straight to the Session Road branch. Happy hunting!

By the way, while you're there, try the Gingerbread Store cassava cake. It's along Lower Ferguson Road, right side, if you're going down the road. Go early though. They're usually sold out by lunch.

  3. Dear Grace,

This question is like the pie question. Your 86th favorite is Darjeeling Tea. Amen!

So where in Manila can one buy Darjeeling Tea? We live in Cainta. I would be willing to order a delivery. Does Serenitea deliver loose tea, or only tea already brewed?

I would be very grateful if, in addition to posting your reply, you could copy it to:

Thanks so much for any help you can give,

  4. Dear Keith,

If you're looking for Darjeeling Tea in Manila, your best bets are the more high-end grocery stores like Rustans, or at least the bigger and better-stocked grocery stores like SM or Robinson's Supermarkets. I used to get mine from my friend who worked at Cravings (a restaurant along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City). The brand escapes me, but i remember it came in a green and white box, and it was really good. I've recently discovered that some of the smaller stores that carry imported goods (like Kang's along Leviste Street in Salcedo Village, Makati City) also sell certain brands of Darjeeling Tea.

I'm not familiar with Serenitea though... Maybe you can Google it?

Anyway, I hope this helps. =)

    Grace
